DART Emergency Volunteer Training at LCHS

This hurricane season has been a reminder of the importance of having a disaster plan ready.

Hurricane Irma sent hundreds of evacuees to Tallahassee, many accompanied by their beloved pets. The local pet friendly shelters were pleading for kennels, cat and dog food, litter, towels, and VOLUNTEERS!

You are invited to attend an upcoming volunteer training for those interested in helping DART (Disaster Animal Response Team) at the designated pet friendly shelters during a disaster. The training will be held at the Leon County Humane Society (413 Timberlane Rd.) on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 6-8pm. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
